Paid Time Off: Eligible employees begin accruing PTO on their date of hire. PTO combines vacation and sick leave, starting at 15 days per year for full-time employees. UMC also follows Washington State Sick Leave guidelines, providing one hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked. Position Description
Starting Salary Range: $87,000 - $125,000 - depending on experience Location: Everett, WA Classification: Exempt Must be eligible to work in the U.S. - Sponsorship not available General Position Summary: Manage mechanical industrial construction projects through effective communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and forecasting of costs and profitability. Position Requirements
Essential Job Functions: 1. Review job estimate and prepare project budgets. 2. Estimate and negotiate change orders. 3. Track, forecast, report labor hours and material costs. 4. Buyout major equipment and subcontracts. 5. Expedite and track deliveries of major equipment/materials. 6. Maintain working knowledge of general conditions, work scope and specifications of project contract/subcontract. 7. Maintain and control documents in compliance with UMC Standards as well as contractual compliance. 8. Supervise Project Engineers including quarterly and annual Catalytic Coaching. 9. Collaborate with field labor supervision to plan, organize and schedule project work including preparation of subcontract/contract integrated project schedule. 10. Review contract drawings, detail drawings and specifications. 11. Ensure full compliance with UMC Safety Program at the jobsite. 12. Adhere to UMC AIM processes if applicable to project. 13. Assist in the bid process and the procurement of new work. 2. Develop and maintain client relations. Skills Required to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job: 1. Ability to accurately estimate mechanical work. 2. Ability to lead and foster a positive working environment. 3. Ability to understand and communicate mechanical concepts. 4. Advanced organizational and time management skills. 5. Attention to detail - errors & mistakes can result in significant financial losses. 6. Strong written and oral communication skills. 7. Strong work ethic - results driven. 8. Ability to multi-task job responsibilities. 9. Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project, Access, and AutoCAD, Front Desk, Blue Beam, Smartsheet, and Viewpoint. Supervisory Responsibility: * Supervise Project Engineers, Project Administrators and Craft Supervisors. Education/ Experience Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job: * A minimum of five years experience as a mechanical project manager * Construction Management or Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering degree desired Licensing or Other Special Certifications Required: * Maintain a valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
