University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. Serving North Texas and surrounding areas, UBH Denton has provided a range of programs treating mental health illnesses and substance abuse issues since 2005. Website: https://www.ubhdenton.com/ Shift: Full Time, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7pm-7:30am Position Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Admissions Department, the Supervisor of Intake ensures smooth and orderly processes are followed for responding to Intake calls, referrals, and admission into the hospital. The Intake Supervisor is accountable for assisting in management of the department, providing supervision for Intake Staff, crisis intervention, and responding to referrals appropriately. This position interfaces closely with both internal hospital staff, facility physicians, as well as referring hospitals, patients, families, and community referral sources. The working position of Intake Supervisor will assist in daily administrative duties, assist the Admissions Director in assigned tasks, complete Intake Assessor and duties as well as Admissions Coordinator as needed within department. Position of Intake Supervisor requires skill of providing effective leadership within the Admissions Department and the ability to organize Admission staff to effectively and timely serve patients, families, referral sources through the referral and Admission process. This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. This includes assisting the Director of Admissions with interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees as well as appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education: Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field. Prior management experience preferred. Licensure/Certification: LPC-Associate, LPC, LMSW, LCSW or RN required in the state of Texas. Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
