Primary Purpose The Rotating Equipment Engineer will provide technical support to the design and start-up of liquefaction projects developed by Sempra Infrastructure at Port Arthur. The Rotating Equipment Engineer will be responsible for the complex rotating equipment packages including gas turbine and electric motor driven centrifugal compressors, magnetic bearing turboexpanders and centrifugal pumps. The engineer will be responsible for resolving technical issues on multiple train components and associated auxiliary support packages. The Rotating Equipment Engineer's responsibilities include: - Provides support for surveillance, design input, maintenance strategy development, and engineering support for gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, expanders and centrifugal pumps. - Leads equipment Surveillance and Condition Monitoring. Ensures reliability, availability, and optimal performance of rotating equipment. - Leads and provides technical support in skill areas of Vibration Analysis and Rotordynamics, Thermodynamics and Equipment Performance Measurement such as Polytropic Efficiency calculations - Supports design and project Engineering Support - Influencing Maintenance and Reliability Strategy, Performance and Optimization - Training and Knowledge Sharing with others. - Works closely with equipment manufacturers representatives, operations, maintenance, and project teams to enhance equipment performance, minimize downtime, and improve long-term asset integrity. - The Rotating Equipment Engineer will aid in the development of Equipment Management Plans and Strategies for managing the equipment over the life cycle of the equipment including integrity inspections and planning for major outages and overhauls. The Rotating Equipment Engineer will also assist with training of junior engineers and craft technicians. This position will be located in Port Arthur, Texas during commissioning, startup and Operate Phase of PALNG. Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) is required.
