Responsibilities

Position Summary

Inventory Investigators; under general supervision, investigate and distribute material shortages for Inventory Department of Daifuku's Conveyors Shop.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Performing material expediting and transaction verification for urgent/priority work order requirements
  • Investigating databases, locates materials, and distributes to departments as required
  • Running critical material reports,coordinates movement and obtains status and location of critical material
  • Following-up on past due material and prepares daily reports to supervisor of material delays effecting work orders
  • Performing clerical duties, and maintaining accurate records and files of activities
  • Receiving, unpacking, and delivering goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves
  • May lead, guide, and train staff, student employees, and interns performing related work
  • Performing other duties as assigned based on Inventory Department needs
  • Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
  • Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.


Qualifications

Education and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and programs
  • Detail-oriented, organized and thorough
  • Ability to multi-task and provide team support
  • Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods
  • Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills
  • Good interpersonal skills for working with various departments

ADA Requirements:

  • Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force
    frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is
    important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back
    muscles.
    Kneeling:
    Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
  • Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
    Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from
    one work site to another
  • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position
    to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use
    of the upper extremities and back muscles.
  • Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
  • Visual: The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles. Visual: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness
    of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
