Summary of Job Duties:The Project Manager and Assistant to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Well-being plays a crucial role in enhancing the student experience by managing large-scale wellbeing initiatives and supporting execution of special projects. This multifaceted role involves project management, administrative support, and budget oversight to ensure the successful execution of programs that improve students' personal, social, and academic lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Lead the coordination, implementation, and completion of projects within the portfolio of Division of Student Affairs Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Well-being, ensuring they align with institutional and divisional goals.

Support for AVC and Team: Provide essential support to the Associate Vice Chancellor and team, assisting with administrative tasks and project tracking.

Cross-functional collaboration: Working closely with University Housing, Counseling and Psychological Services, University Recreation and Wellness, and Health Cetner to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with students, faculty, and staff to promote well-being initiatives across the campus.

Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and financial accountability. Maintain thorough and current knowledge of Student Well-being department budgets and finances and participate in unit's quarterly reviews.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in management, business, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least two or more years experience in project or program management, including budget management and timeline adherence

  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data and make informed decisions

Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in management, business, higher education or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least five or more years experience in project or program management, including budget management and timeline adherence

  • Effective process improvement experience

  • Experience with assessment based on learning outcomes

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience and skills communicating proactively with team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex information clearly

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time management skills

  • Ability to work in an environment where processes are being defined and contribute to overall development and improvement of project management processes

  • Ability to perform with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with campus partners
