We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Financial Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for consolidating financial data from multiple pharmacies, analyzing the data, and creating comprehensive reports that tell a compelling story. This role is crucial in helping Optum Rx make informed decisions and drive strategic initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Gather and consolidate financial data from various pharmacy locations into a centralized database
  • Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and present comprehensive financial reports that provide actionable insights and tell a compelling story
  • Work closely with pharmacy managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely data collection
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, data consolidation, or a related role
  • Proficiency in financial software and databases (e.g., Excel, Essbase, etc.)
  • Demonstrated solid financial and analytical background with a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial insights and recommendations
  • Demonstrated analytical and data visualization skills
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities as well as work independently with little supervision, ability to prioritize work and be a self-starter


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in the healthcare or pharmacy industry
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment
  • Advanced Excel skills

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
