Responsibilities

As our Individual Therapist, you'll be the guiding light for our clients, helping them navigate their journey to wellness. Here's a sneak peek at your exciting responsibilities:

  • Therapeutic Wizardry: Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions that inspire and empower our young clients to reach their full potential.
  • Assessment Adventure: Conduct thorough risk assessments and create personalized safety plans upon admission. You'll also dive deep into biopsychosocial assessments to craft tailored treatment plans.
  • Team Player Extraordinaire: Collaborate with a fantastic treatment team to set and coordinate treatment goals, with regular 30-day check-ins to keep everyone on track.
  • Family Liaison: Keep parents in the loop with progress updates, working hand-in-hand with our family therapist to create a supportive network.
  • Crisis Champion: Be ready to spring into action with risk assessments and crisis interventions when needed, ensuring our clients feel safe and supported.
  • Documentation Dynamo: Keep our records sparkling with timely and accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Team Spirit: Join in on weekly treatment team meetings, staff gatherings, and clinical supervision to share ideas and grow together.
  • Professional Explorer: Represent Newport Healthcare at meetings, trainings, and conferences, expanding your horizons and showcasing your expertise!

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
  • Licensed or ability to transfer license in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work or Clinical Psychologist in the state in which services are provided
  • Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with adolescents/young adults required.
  • Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders or trauma-informed treatment preferred
