Responsibilities

As our Experiential Therapist, you'll be at the forefront of facilitating meaningful therapeutic experiences that challenge and empower our clients. Here's a glimpse of your exciting responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Creator: Develop and deliver a comprehensive 12-week therapeutic curriculum in your area of specialization that captivates and engages clients.
  • Group & Individual Sessions: Lead both group and individual therapy sessions, utilizing your unique skills to support clients in their personal growth.
  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with the Treatment Team to identify when experiential modalities are the perfect fit for clients to access and process trauma.
  • Progress Tracker: Observe and document client reactions and progress, ensuring clear communication with the treatment team to maintain continuity of care.
  • Crisis Management: Step in to conduct assessments or manage crises as needed, providing essential support to clients in challenging moments.
  • Adaptive Interventions: Assess the needs of the therapeutic milieu and adjust interventions to best support each client's journey.
  • Program Development: Collaborate with the Clinical Director to enhance program offerings and schedule impactful therapeutic services and group activities.
  • Adventure Coordinator: Work with Counselors to plan and coordinate experiential outings that enrich the therapeutic process.
  • Documentation Dynamo: Ensure timely completion of clinical documentation, including progress and group notes, in line with established standards.
  • Team Player: Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision to foster collaboration and professional growth.
  • Other Duties: Embrace additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the program.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in clinical or expressive arts discipline required.
  • Board registered (APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA) or Psychologic Associate in the state in which services are provided required, license preferred.
  • Board certified in area of specialization preferred.
  • Experience providing group and individual therapy with adolescents and young adults in residential setting preferred.
