THE ROLE: Production Manager - A+E Factual Studios

The Production Manager manages the activities required for the physical production of unscripted series and development projects, ensuring resources, schedules, and budgets are effectively managed to support seamless execution.

  • Manage and coordinate production activities for unscripted series and development projects, ensuring smooth workflows and timely execution.
  • Oversee project schedules, coordinating activities across diverse teams to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Ensure the timely availability of resources required for physical production.
  • Estimate and track budgets, ensuring production activities remain within financial constraints.
  • Resolve resource and logistical conflicts to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Implement strategies that impact discrete components or processes within assigned projects or teams.
  • Exchange semi-complex information with internal and external peers and managers to facilitate production activities.
  • Coordinate logistics across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with big picture needs while keeping track of critical details.
  • Manage shared resources across multiple projects, coordinating with project teams to prioritize needs.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of progressively complex related experience in physical production management.
  • Proficiency in managing schedules, budgets, and resources for unscripted series production.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve roadblocks effectively as they arise.
  • Familiarity with physical production workflows and logistics.
  • Exceptional communication skills for interacting with peers, managers, and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Airtable, Movie Magic Budgeting, Microsoft Excel, and the Google Suite.
  • Basic understanding of camera gear and production equipment.

  • A passion for unscripted series production and a deep understanding of physical production workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive approach to enhancing production workflows.
  • Commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation in production processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate within defined procedures while applying independent judgment to short-term assignments.
  • An interest in the expanding use of AI technology, both in content creation and in workflow implementation.
  • Ability to understand big picture production needs while helping the team stay focused on the details.
Compensation Annual Pay Range: $79,961 - $93,554 Annual Incentive Target: 12.50%
