Full-time, fist shift, 8-hour days

Job Description:

Collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders to implement evidence-based practices and policies aimed at minimizing the risk of infections and ensuring patient safety. Conducts surveillance, analysis, interpretation and reporting of hospital acquired infections (HAI); competency-based training and education of hospital staff, including medical staff and as applicable, personnel providing contracted serviced in the hospital, on the practical applications of infection prevention and control guidelines, policies and procedures that meet TJC, ACHC, OSHA, Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other nationally organized agencies recommendations and requirements.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) required.

• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.

• Five years of nursing or healthcare related experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, communications, business administration, or other healthcare related field preferred.

• Certification in infection control preferred.
