Hourly Pay Range:

$33.96 - $52.64 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Registered Nurse Triage - Allergy

  • Location: Elmhurst, IL and Naperville, IL

  • Full Time: 40 hours/week.

  • Office Hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Tuesdays 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM. Working 1 Saturday a month 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM.

  • Required Travel: To Both Offices each week.

    • You will be in Elmhurst Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays

    • You will be in Naperville Wednesdays and Thursdays

What you will do:

This is a two-physician practice. The department is very hands-on and works closely as a team. The RNs perform all the allergy testing, spirometry testing, specialized testing such as Oral Challenges, Venom testing, Penicillin testing, mixing of allergy antigens, administration of biologic injections and managing of immunotherapy shot patients. The nurses perform phone triage, in person patient triage, refill medications, report test results to the patients, obtain prior authorizations for medications/tests, provide patient education, clean and stock exam rooms, and arrange shipment of specialty medications.

What you will need:

  • Current Illinois RN licensure

  • Current CPR for Healthcare Providers

  • Prior work experience in an Allergy setting, highly preferred

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred

  • Self-starter, able to handle periods of high stress

  • Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting/bending/reaching/climbing and repetitive use of hands

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry/push up to 20 lbs.

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, both written & verbal

  • Flexible to scheduling changes including overtime, evening and Saturday rotation

  • Ability to travel to the Elmhurst and Naperville clinic locations
