The Role

Utilizes understanding of Lumen target customer needs, competitive environment, advancements in Information Technology, business opportunities and Lumen global product line. Accountable for Lumen technical solution strategy for revenue growth in conjunction with Lumen's partner strategy, bookings, and profitability in support of Lumen sales organization.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Assisting the sales organization in the identification of potential partner-enabled opportunities at new prospects as well as existing customers
  • Proposing and closing solutions to new business opportunities
  • Creating and refining technical architecture diagrams and solution designs in support of partner-enabled solutions enabled and enhanced through Lumen's global product portfolio.
  • Support to creation of proposals and RFP responses, Statements of Work, pricing, customer negotiations and transitioning to the delivery teams
  • Developing Staffing Level of Efforts (LOE), technical architecture designs and Resource Requirements utilizing estimation tools and/or facilitating workshops with partners and delivery owners
  • Support to Lumen Strategic Technical Partnership Teams, including Partner Incubation, Independent Software Vendor validation, Industry Solutions and hyperscaler alliances
  • Interface with various Lumen teams including, Marketing, Procurement, Service Delivery, Legal, Contracts, Billing, Product Management, Engineering etc. as required
  • Inspecting system pipeline and providing weekly updates to the internal systems of record
  • Updating the team document repositories with appropriate artifacts
  • Support to Lumen's State Local Education Market teams, with a special focus on developing offerings for government solution portfolio, including support to restricted access solution requiring appropriate government clearances
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience required; 15+ years of related experience
  • Master's degree preferred; 3-5+ years of related experience in consulting businessdevelopment, technical management and/or operational experience
  • Excellent communication skills written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Excellent planning, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask by working in a face paced, constantly changing environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with individuals at all levels
  • Detail oriented in solution development and SOW creation following SMART framework
  • Ability to efficiently utilize MS Office Suite of Applications specially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated level of success in the pre-sales support to consulting and professional servicesopportunities
  • Proven track record of achieving professional goals successfully
  • Industry knowledge of migrations, SLAs, contract terms, service management and reviews, cloud, (SaaS, PaaS, and laaS) platforms (AWS, Azure etc.) managed hosting, colocation, datacenter operations, ITILITSM and IT Services such as ITO, Design & Transition Migration, BCDR, Strategic Consulting, ADM, QA, Remote Infrastructure Management etc.
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:
$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO.
