Are you a strategic and innovative leader with a passion for driving growth through dynamic partnerships? We are seeking a visionary Senior Director of Partnerships & Alliances to join our team and spearhead the development of world-class partner programs. This role will report to the Vice President, Partnerships & Alliances and will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy, building the necessary infrastructure, and scaling our partner programs to new heights. The Thomson Reuters Partner Program enables partners to unlock new opportunities, drive growth, and strengthen position as a trusted advisor to our customers and prospects. The partner program offers tailored support and benefits across partner roles, enabling the delivery of exceptional value to customers while accelerating partner growth.

The Senior Director, Partnerships & Alliances role will be responsible for executing against the vision, owning the daily operations and identifying success parameters. The ideal candidate will have a proven record in partner program management, strategic planning and relationship building within the software industry.

Location:

The successful candidates will ideally be based in one of our hub locations in Minneapolis, Dallas, New York or Toronto and work in a hybrid environment, spending a minimum of 3 days per week in office. We are open to a remote work arrangement for the right candidate.

About the Role:

In this opportunity you will:

Develop and Execute Partner Program Strategy:

  • Design a strategic vision for the partner program that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize key partner segments and opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for different partner types (e.g., resellers, integrators, technology partners).

Build and Manage Partner Ecosystem:

  • Forge and cultivate strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key partners.
  • Identify criteria for partner selection, onboarding and performance evaluation.
  • Create and manage a vigorous and diverse partner pipeline including conducting market research, competitor analysis and completing due diligence activities to ensure a steady flow of high-quality partners.

Design and Implement Partner Programs:

  • Develop comprehensive partner programs that include incentives, training, certification and support.
  • Ensure programs are competitive, attractive to partners and aligned with market needs.
  • Monitor and optimize program performance, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.

Administration and Infrastructure Development:

  • Design and implement the necessary infrastructure to support partner programs, including CRM systems, partner portals and communication tools.
  • Ensure seamless integration and data flow between internal systems and partner platforms.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, guidelines and processes for program administration.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of partner programs.
  • Monitor and analyze partnership performance, providing regular insights and reports to the executive team focused on program performance, partner contributions and areas for improvement.
  • Leverage analytics to identify trends, opportunities and risks within the partner ecosystem.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product and customer success teams to ensure alignment and support for partner initiatives.
  • Partner with legal and finance teams to develop partner agreements, pricing models and compliance frameworks.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the partnerships team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

About You

The ideal candidate for the Senior Director, Partnership & Alliances role will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in Partnerships & Alliances, partner end to end, partner program management, business development or a related role within the software/SaaS industry.
  • 12+ years of team leadership and management, including executive-level engagement.
  • Strong operational leader with a proven track record of designing, developing, scaling and maturing partner programs that drive revenue growth.
  • Strategic, innovative thinker with strong business acumen and ability to execute tactically and independently.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong executive presence.
  • Ability to develop and maintain deep relationships with partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated global leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of trends and customer needs.
  • Proven ability to build and scale successful partner programs that drive revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of the AI and software technology landscape, including current trends and competitive dynamics
  • Expert business case and financial modeling skills
  • Experience working with global systems integrators and global accounting and consulting firms
  • Expertise in SaaS business models, sales processes and legal technology solutions and overall strong digital literacy.
  • Strong network within the industry and experience in strategic partnering.
  • Skilled at conflict resolution and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Familiarity with partnership management tools, such as partnership relationship management (PRM) software.
  • Resourceful and highly organized self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and operate successfully in a complex, dynamic, fast paced, highly collaborative and continuously evolving environment.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $154,000 - $286,000.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
