Responsibilities
MTSI is seeking a dedicated Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with a TS/SCI clearance based in the Hampton, VA area to play a vital role in supporting high-priority Special Access Programs (SAPs) for a Government Office at Joint Base Langley-Eustis. This includes supporting HQ Air Force, the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Military Compartments. The ISSO will be responsible for the crucial day-to-day security operations of Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities. Prior experience in a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or ISSO role is required. Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: * Manage and maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages for Automated Information Systems (AIS) * Conduct thorough self-inspections of AIR, coordinate security reviews of system test plans, and proactively identify and mitigate system vulnerabilities * Represent the customer on technical review and inspection teams * Perform security surveys at subordinate facilities, collecting necessary documentation for system authorization packages * Oversee and manage AIS inspections, reports, and responses * Maintain meticulous AIS security records and prepare Co-Utilization Agreements for network nodes within government facilities * Generate reports on the status of security safeguards for computer systems * Ensure strict adherence to security policies and practices for the operation, maintenance, and disposal of AIS and network nodes * Provide comprehensive ISSO support to both internal and external customers * Collaborate with DoD, National Agency, and Contractor organizations on assessment and authorization (A & A) activities * Manage and track AIS training, including reviewing and conducting training sessions
Qualifications
Qualifications Required: * Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Information Systems Security * Must obtain Information Assurance Technical Level 2 Certification in accordance with the DoD Directive 8570.01M within 6 months of hire * Familiarity with current security policies and manuals. * Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic environemnt and interact with diverse DoD personnel and industry partners * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite * Ability to lift 50 lbs * Minimum of 3 years of SAP experience within the last 5 years required Education: * Bachelor's degree Clearance Requirements: * Clearance Required: Top Secret with SCI * Please Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position, due to contract requirements. * Travel: Position requires up to 5% travel to CONUS/OCONUS areas #LI-MS1 #MTSI
