Southwire Job Description

Job Purpose
* Manages the strategic and tactical maintenance functions/activities in the plant to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services that meet Southwire standards and are beyond customer expectations.
* Ensures a safe, environmentally sound, reliable facility by planning and scheduling proactive work, setting standards of activities performed, and formulating policies while sustaining adherence to these policies.
* Oversee development of work procedures and practices, and ensure resources receive developmental coaching and training on the path to building highly qualified team members.
* Responsible for proper tool and system utilization through CMMS audit activity, root cause analysis reviews, and corrective action execution.

Key Responsibilities
* Leads the maintenance organization that is responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance activity on facility assets.
* Drives progression of Reliability and Maintainability Roadmap elements.
* Serves on the Plant Leadership Team.
* Interfaces with contractors within the plant providing expensed and capital project work.
* Develops direct reports and other leaders and subordinates by identifying and assigning value-added training and development opportunities.
* Ensures key performance indicators (KPIs) are collected, reported, and communicated.
* Maintains awareness of functional trends to continuously improve planning and scheduling, root cause analysis, and preventive, corrective, and autonomous maintenance processes.
* Ensures success of modernization contributions by participating in early equipment management activities.
* Audits elemental processes to ensure adherence and expectations of process deliverables.
* Responsible for team adherence to all safety policies.
* Responsible for housekeeping and condition of all maintenance work areas.
* Utilizes SAP PM to analyze performance and validate workflow adherences.

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's
Specialized Degree: Engineering
Years of Experience: 5+
Field of Expertise: Maintenance and Reliability Leadership Capacity
Other Preferred Skills: Must have a detailed understanding of work management processes covering planning and scheduling through work execution and order closure. Individual must be familiar with reliability concepts including equipment criticality risk ranking analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), preventive and predictive maintenance optimization, and root cause analysis (RCA).
