Duties/Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities |
1. Carry out sample collection and preparation from a variety of matrices, including wildlife and the environment.
2. Isolate and characterize target bacteria, using culture-based and other complementary methods. Coordinate shipment of isolates to collaborators as needed.
3. Conduct phenotypic characterization of antimicrobial resistance profiles of target bacteria.
4. Conduct molecular analyses using polymerase chain reaction (
PCR), whole
genome sequencing (
WGS), and metagenomics to understand genetic context of priority antimicrobial resistance.
5. Record, analyze, and summarize data.
6. Prepare technical reports, abstracts, and peer-reviewed publications. |
