Join our team as a Culinary Wizard in our central kitchen! You'll whip up delicious meals and snacks for our residents, their families, and guests, all while ensuring that every bite meets Newport Academy's standards of culinary excellence. Get ready to bring your creativity and a sprinkle of fun to the table! Key Responsibilities: Kitchen Maestro: Open and close the kitchen like a pro, setting the stage for culinary magic! Meal Magician: Prepare and serve scrumptious breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks every day that will have everyone coming back for seconds. Event Chef Extraordinaire: Create delightful dishes for special occasions, like parent weekends, that will impress and satisfy. Health Nut Hero: Craft healthful, nutritious, and organic meals and snacks that nourish both body and soul. Cleanliness Champion: Keep the kitchen sparkling clean-think of it as your culinary canvas! This includes tidying up refrigerators, freezers, ovens, floors, and dishware after each meal. Health & Safety Guru: Ensure our kitchen meets state health and hygiene standards, along with Newport Healthcare's high expectations. Mealtime Buddy: Build positive connections with our residents to make mealtimes a highlight of their day. Schedule Sleuth: Stay in the loop with programming schedules and adjust your own plans to keep the kitchen running smoothly. Guest Engager: Bring your positive energy to interactions with parents and guests, making them feel right at home. Culinary Collaborator: Join in on baking or cooking groups to share ideas, learn new skills, and have a blast in the kitchen! Qualifications Food safety certificate through the state, county, or ServSafe preferred. It is required within 30 days of hire. Compensation for this role ranges from $22.66-$28.85 per hour depending on education and experience. Benefits include:
