A Brief Overview

The Senior Field Communications Specialist develops and executes internal communication strategies that increase associate engagement and build brand awareness. This role will create and implement comprehensive communication programs where associates can easily obtain information and key messages that help them perform their best work, connect with colleagues, and deepen their understanding of the company's culture. The Senior Field Communications Specialist partners with cross-functional teams throughout the business to deliver consistent and connected messaging to our frontline population, ensures all communications reflect Safelite's tone of voice and brings our purpose, the Safelite Spirit, strategic framework and employer brand to life.

What you will do

  • Partner closely with leaders and key business stakeholders, to develop and manage associate communications messaging and project strategy using a standardized intake process to identify communication needs, scope of work, and required project support.

  • Develop and implement thoughtful, innovative and engaging communication plans and programs, leveraging a variety of tactics and channels to build on and enhance our culture and the associate experience.

  • Support the daily administration of key communications-related processes and activities including: monitor internal communications requests, plotting key initiatives and ensuring all requests are responded to and initiated in a timely manner; maintain communication channels including The Wire and SharePoint sites; monitor posts and comments on The Wire to identify associate sentiment and quickly escalate issues as appropriate; support the creation and distribution of email campaigns and re-occuring communications; regularly pull channel data and analytics to understand associate engagement and identify insights.

  • Collaborate on communication for our field leaders and front-line associates to support day-to-day communication needs through various channels while supporting: Daily ops, Technical / SOP, Front-line Associate Engagement, and execution of communications-related processes.

  • Serve as an internal thought partner to Stores and Supply Chain leaders, bring communication expertise to program messaging, branding and approach that help associates 'connect the dots' between Safelite programs and their associate experience.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with all policies and standards

What you will need

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 4-6 years relevant experience developing and implementing communications projects, including editorial calendars, timelines and production schedules for internal business communications

  • Business acumen with ability to lead projects and confidently problem-solve. (High proficiency)

  • Strong writing and ability to capture appropriate voice and tone. (High proficiency)

  • Experience supporting or working with frontline populations. (High proficiency)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage a heavy workload. Must be agile and nimble with ability to quickly adapt to changes while multitasking a variety of projects simultaneously. (High proficiency)

  • Confident, approachable, and a team player. Service mindset. (High proficiency)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Medium proficiency)
