Associate Project Engineer I (Mechanical Engineering) - Plymouth, MN - Hybrid Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company Daikin Applied is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Project Engineer I (Mechanical Engineering) to join our rapidly growing organization. This role will be responsible for engineering aspects of products released to production after initial design development, including integration of new technologies, maintenance and minor additions to existing products. - Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope
- Under supervision, lead a small group of cross functional team members, delivering engineering projects per company processes
- Under the close guidance of experienced engineers, evaluates, analyzes, and makes recommendations on products, designs, and cost improvements to improve the competitive position of the company
- Procures materials needed to construct prototypes and participates in the design engineering of new models
- Support the planning and development of test programs for prototypes
- Analyze test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance specifications
- Assist in analyzing, evaluating, sourcing, and coordination of the procurement of new materials to support model changes
- With direction, analyze, evaluate, and recommend cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes
- Perform technical analysis of competitive products
- Provide support to sales and marketing on product presentations and customer literature
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree (Technical, Scientific, Engineering) or related technical field
- 0-2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Requires detailed knowledge of engineering
- PC skills including Microsoft office applications
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, and to work independently as well as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal experience in HVAC or a related field
- Basic skills with CAD applications

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $60,200 - $86,200 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
