The Business Development Specialist (BDS) will be responsible for supporting Business Development Activities in North America (NA); by proactively driving end customer and OEM quoting activities and managing NA OEM relationships and process improvements. The BDS will work collectively within the Sales team. This a remote / hybrid position reports directly to the Sr. Business Development Manager. * Manage quoting activities to include generation of Salesforce opportunities * Create Salesforce opportunities to manage customer specifications * Responsible for NA OEM relationships; including quoting activities related to NA end users (customers) * Prepares and maintains a repository of templates, standard language, and product collateral. * Assume lead role in Inside View demonstrations and quoting * Participates in process improvements for quoting and proposal generation * Participates in and delivers rep training on quoting processes * Participates in technical specifications for Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Request for Information (RFI). * Engages with internal resources including Offer Management, Engineering, Marketing and Sales Ops * Assumes the lead for managing demo equipment requests * Collate competitor information in collaboration with BDM's * Attends and actively participates in Doble and Industry events * Participates in qualifying web generated leads to identify sales opportunities * Manages schedule, priorities, travel, and manages company expectations. * Provides timely and meaningful trip reports; controls expenses to meet budget guidelines. * Ensures that business transactions remain in compliance of the legal requirements of laws and policies such as Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Sarbanes-Oxley Act, UK Anti-Bribery Act of 2010, polices of the US Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC"), US sanctions policies and localized trade laws and/or policies. * Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team. * Performs other duties as assigned by management. * Domestic and international travel may be required up to 50%; valid passport required. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a business or technical-related field REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: * Experience in using a CRM system such as Salesforce * Excellent relationship building skills with internal and external customers * The ability to work in a Team environment PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: * Technical Sales experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Excellent relationship building skills * Clear communication and active listening * Excellent multitasking skills * Excellent customer service * Ability to process information well * Excellent time management * Attention to detail * Results-driven * Self-motivated * A passion for the Power Utility space PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers.
