Own Your Future. Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Software Engineering Support at Tinker AFB, OK. The Software Engineering Support will provide knowledge of software engineering in order to support the design, development, testing and evaluation, implementation, maintenance, and administration of new and/or existing software systems. The Software Engineering Support shall apply an understanding of systems acquisition, systems and subsystems level hardware and software integration, systems requirements analysis and allocation, computer systems architecture, and systems and subsystems testing and evaluation. The Contractor shall review/develop/update applicable program documentation for software engineering relevant requirements. The Contractor shall support the development of the software development strategy and software development plan (SDP). The Contractor shall apply an understanding of aeronautical vehicle systems and/or airborne or related ground systems avionics Operational Flight Program capabilities to support the core engineering tasks as they relate to software engineering Why is MTSI known as a Great Place to Work?

Responsibilities The Software Engineering Support shall work independently on tasks and exercise judgment in the execution of the following tasks: * Conduct assessments of DoD contractor software deliveries for aircraft and test equipment. Audits DoD contractors for software configuration and control measures and verifies appropriate quality accreditation. Qualifications * Shall have at least 10 years of senior level industry experience demonstrating and practicing their knowledge, skills, and abilities in science and engineering directly related to software development and sustainment. No credit is accepted for experience while serving in a technician position * Experience with ensuring contractor software/updates meets Air Force requirements and industry standards of ISO9000/9002 and Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI). * Experience in evaluating systems test plans and participating in the conduct of system, subsystem and component testing. * Ability to create presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and provide oral presentations from PowerPoint with no impediments. * Ability to read and utilize Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. * Ability to write research papers in Microsoft Word with few grammatical errors that present concepts clearly and concisely. * Able to read and understand schedules developed in Microsoft project. * Ability to clearly communicate with and/or brief a small group of military, contract, and civilian personnel. Education Requirements: Clearance Requirements: * Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance, current within five years, based upon a T5 or T5R investigation, formerly known as Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or SSBI Periodic Review (SBPR) and be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) access. * Must have 12 months or more experience in a SAP environment within the last five years. #LI-DB1 |
