Warehouse Management System Training Team Lead

Join our team as a WMS Training Team Lead to support a worldwide Distribution organization in all aspects of warehouse management deployment. This role involves extensive travel, over-the-shoulder coaching, and SOP development. Showcase your expertise in warehousing, hazardous material handling, shipping, and inventory management. Pay commensurate with experience.

Warehouse Management System Training Team Lead Responsibilities Include:

• Provide comprehensive support in implementing warehouse management deployment across the Distribution organization.
• Extensive travel for on-site coaching and support during the project.
• Over-the-shoulder coaching on Warehouse Management System (WMS) usage for government and contract staff.
• Demonstrate expertise in various warehousing aspects: pick, pack, stow, inventory, hazardous material storage, shipping, preservation, packaging, and marking.
• Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for functional work areas within WMS.
• Assist in developing coaching materials, training checklists, and pre-implementation site surveys.
• Travel to distribution sites worldwide for on-site coaching in the warehouse environment. Requires up to 80% Travel both CONUS and OCONUS. Travel could include intervals of up to 4 consecutive weeks. Expectation of significant Overtime.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Warehouse Management System Training Team Lead Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• 7+ years of supervisory-level warehouse operations experience.
• Proficiency in managing shipping, pick-pack-stow operations, COSIS, and other warehousing functions.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) platforms.
• Ability to lead and train warehouse staff, analyze processes, and develop SOPs.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and technologies for policy, process, and system recommendations.
• Strong analytical skills and experience writing/editing warehouse SOPs.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Effective communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Physical ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license.
• Proficient in coaching and instructional tasks in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate in a team, and handle challenging situations.
• Must be able to obtain all required immunizations deemed necessary for deployments to foreign locations.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
