Description

The Decision Support Analyst reports into the Department
Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Center of
Excellence (CoE) Manager or equivalent senior/executive leader and is
responsible for analysis of complex business problems using data to provide
insight to decision makers. Develops
quantitative data-driven reporting & analysis to support operational,
financial, and strategic decision making. The ideal candidate would be
experienced in evaluating financial and operational trends, data analysis, data
reconciliation and visualization.

The Decision Support Analyst is a technical leader with a
high degree of knowledge in the overall business intelligence field and
recognized expert in specific areas (Machine Learning, AI, Faculty
Compensation, etc.). Problem solving in this role frequently requires analysis
of unique issues without precedence or structure. May manage programs that include formulating
strategies, administering policies, processes and resources. Functions with a high degree of autonomy.

Annual Salary Range: $92,600.00 - $202,200.00

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    computer/information science, statistics, business, finance, accounting, or a
    related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years
    related experience, education, or training

  • Exceptional assessment,
    analytical, organizational, math and problem-solving skills accompanied by
    strong ability to understand underlying issues / drivers

  • Advanced knowledge of
    Business Intelligence concepts, functions, analytics, industry standards and
    best practices. Proven experience
    building robust dashboards to support decision making.

  • Advanced commitment to
    quality and accuracy; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies
    feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality

  • Advanced customer
    service interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain excellent
    working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Advanced ability to
    communicate effectively, collaboratively, and professionally, with the ability
    to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner

  • Advanced knowledge of
    BI applications and tools: e.g.Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Excel, Access,
    Oracle Financial Cloud (OFC), EPIC/Clarity, and other relevant databases,

  • Detail oriented, with
    ability to manage time and organize competing priorities.

  • Ability to serve as a
    technical resource providing advice and counsel on business intelligence
    issues.

  • Demonstrated
    understanding of database relationships and structures and knowledge of SQL
    programming language.

  • Proven experience in
    data transformation/manipulation/data cleansing tools and techniques.

  • Prior experience
    working with healthcare data and knowledge of industry KPIs

Preferred:

  • Epic Clarity
    Certification/Training

  • Advanced degree in
    related field or training
