The Subject Matter Expert IV (CSE) will support the Chugach Technical Program Manager the US Coast Guard team. The incumbent will provide day-to-day engineering support to NIWC. The position requires an experienced Specialist to support the project. Travel up 10% CONUS/OCONUS.

Work Model: Onsite

• Participate in technical design reviews, integration, testing, and documentation work.
• Responsible for technical advisory to technical team and the Technical Director for Cyber security.
• Responsible for reviewing technical documentation and provided detailed feedback.
• Update, sustain, and administer in-house infrastructure as required.
• Run vulnerability scans and audits on local infrastructure.
• Coordinate Cyber Mitigation review for Information Systems.
• Apply system security engineering principles to deliver real solutions premeditated to enhance the security position.
• Identify threats and develop suitable defense measures, evaluate system changes for security implications, and recommend enhancements, research, and draft cyber security white papers, for resolving difficult cyber security issues.
• Develop and update Cyber Security documentation such as software/hardware list, Topology drawings, ports protocols and services.
• Write Risk Management Framework (RMF)-based policies and procedures, and develop comprehensive cyber security processes to contain implementation.
• Configure Windows and Linux host-based security as well as network and cloud-based security systems.
• Support with the installation and configuration of network security architectures, including firewalls, router ACLs (Access Control Lists).
• Support the upgrading of security protection of the organization's data, systems, and networks.
• Troubleshooting security and network problems.
• Detailed understanding of DoD Host Based Security systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues.
• Experience with Cyber Security tools, technologies, and processes, such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, ACAS/Nessus.

• BS in Cyber Security or Computer Science Field.
• U.S. citizen.
• Active DOD Secret security clearance.
• Ten (10) years of experience of working with Military Electronics systems.
• Experience with the Sea Commander System.
• Willing to travel up to 10% CONUS/OCONUS.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
