FPGA/ASIC Design Engineer Our client is seeking a skilled FPGA/ASIC Design Engineer to contribute to advanced digital systems. This role focuses on developing high-performance FPGA solutions using VHDL/Verilog, with a strong emphasis on timing-critical, high-speed, and embedded processing applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test FPGA-based solutions using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Work with high-speed transceivers (GTX/GTH/GTY) and bus protocols (Ethernet, SPI, I2C, CAN, etc.).
- Interface FPGAs with external memory (DRAM/SRAM).
- Collaborate across hardware/software teams for system-level integration.
- Perform static timing analysis, floor planning, and timing closure.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of FPGA design experience using Vivado, Zynq UltraScale+, or similar tools/platforms.
- Strong background in multi-gigabit transceivers, packet/signal processing, and low-latency designs (e.g., PTP, SyncE, EtherCAT).
- Familiar with Petalinux, Yocto, or Buildroot environments.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows for FPGA development.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Industrial network experience (Sercos III, SyncE, etc.)
- Knowledge of communication link design, equalization, FEC, and clock recovery
- Familiarity with version control, bug tracking, and collaborative dev workflows
