We are seeking an HRIS Reporting Specialist responsible for ongoing reporting support for HR Shared Services. This position also supports customers across the enterprise outside of HR Shared Services with specific reporting needs. Examples of the units include Total Rewards, JHU tax office, Health System HR offices, Health System Benefit Office and International Office etc. This position plays a critical role in maintaining HR Data integrity and prevent payroll errors for 3 payroll areas including Semimonthly, Biweekly and Weekly. This position will utilize various reporting tools and SAP ABAP programming to monitor HR, Benefit and Payroll data for operational, administrative and quality assurance purposes. This position also serves as the functional expert for HR/Payroll Shared Service. This position also provides support for ESS (Employee Self Service), BW Analysis and System upgrade testing.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as SAP functional expert for HR/Payroll Shared Services.
  • Audit all data entry accuracy in prevent payroll errors including ISR, Spreadsheet and data upload (Evolve) etc.
  • Conduct routine audits of various payroll, HR or Benefits records/files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Schedule and review weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and ad hoc reporting to ensure data integrity.
  • Serve as liaison with information systems team in resolving configuration and related problems and/or implementing functionality changes
  • Monitor benefit eligibility compared SAP Benefit Master Data.
  • Support including BW/BI Support customer Service, troubleshooting, upgrade, enhancement, testing, training and communication.
  • Create a work environment that maintains confidentiality.
  • Participate in quality assurance reviews and quality control monitoring efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates Degree
  • Two years of related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of data analysis experience, preferred in Reporting Function Role supporting HR, Payroll and Benefit Unit.
  • Reporting experience with SAP or other ERP (Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc.)

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Johns Hopkins University's salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, education/training and other qualifications. Education and Experience Equivalency
Please refer to the job description above to see which forms of equivalency are permitted for this position. If permitted, equivalencies will follow these guidelines: JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
