Job Overview
Provide information and support to bargaining unit employees and managers regarding payroll, researching and resolving all related issues.
Submit employee reports to the Union and Accounts Payable for processing of dues
Monitor status of new bargaining unit employees, notifying Corporate Payroll of dues deductions and end of probationary period
Compile Contractor Labor reports and submit to managers for approval
Process monthly MSHA reports and provide to the mine sites and EHS Director
Submit employee Safety reimbursements to Corporate Payroll
Process new customer applications and maintain current customer account information
Provide information and support to customers and managers regarding accounts receivable and past due accounts, researching and resolving all related issues.

Report weekly utilization of employees to managers.
Monitor unbilled orders, sending reports to sales staff on a weekly basis
Prepare and post Journal Entries into SAP
Process non-direct sales invoices
File A/R, Payroll and deliveries documents
Open jobs in the SAP system in the Planner's absence
Review employee expense reports to determine expenses that require posting to jobs
Track and report employee Utilization hours on a bi-weekly and monthly basis
Perform cost and margin analysis on various jobs
Support the Accountant in their role
Key Job Responsibilities
- For all hourly employees, closely monitor issues in the payroll system, working with managers on resolution. Manually enter and post timecard data into payroll system for salaried Technical Service employees. Submit payroll corrections to Corporate Payroll. Reconcile payroll registers with entries in payroll system each pay period.
- Maintain Accounts Receivable accounts: Generate A/R reports on weekly basis, research and resolve all outstanding invoice issues. Work with customers and provide necessary documentation or other required information to facilitate timely payment.
- Process and report employee Utilization
- Provide support to Accountant role
Qualifications/Requirements
- Two-year minimum accounting education; Accounting degree preferred.
- Three to five years of work experience in an accounting position, with a minimum of one-year experience in payroll.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with SAP and Workforce Management is preferred but not required.
- Exceptional customer service skills and maintain good working relationships with our vendors, customers, and all employees.
- Strong organization skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to meet tight deadlines
