Sr. Shipping & Receiving Clerk

The Sr. Shipping and Receiving Clerk is a key member of the CTP operations team reporting directly to the Operations Manager. This individual will be tasked with administering all shipping and receiving functions with the primary mission of ensuring precise and efficient flow of goods throughout the business. This will be achieved by generating and coordinating all warehousing functions including material handling, staging, shipping, and receiving.

Job Summary

  • Coordinate warehousing, shipping/receiving, materials handling and packaging activities to ensure timely and accurate presentation of materials to the facility and external customers.
  • Count, Pack, Label, and coordinate all outgoing shipments including arranging with customers preferred shipper for pickup.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of available products to operations.
  • Manage logistics and transportation vendors including cost and performance.
  • Operation of material handling equipment.
  • Operation of online shipping systems.
  • Perform additional logistics warehouse related duties as required.
  • Ensure cycle counting of inventory occurs on a regular schedule.
  • Ensure integrity of data collection and perpetual inventory records.
  • Assist supply chain partners as we implement and manage changes to shipping or receiving practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in the development of logistics responsibilities, procedures, processes, and standards, and ensure adherence.
  • Align program/production requirements with current procedures to ensure consistency.
  • Provide leadership in developing, improving, and
    implementing sound logistics and warehousing management and flow to minimize
    lead time and inventory while achieving sales plan and customer service
    requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Able to operate a forklift in a precise and safe manner
  • Able to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to details
  • Able to handle multiple tasks, have good organizational skills and a high level of energy.
  • Computer skills-intermediate knowledge of e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Explorer, ERP, Kronos etc.
    Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.

Required Experience and Education

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Forklift Experience
