Direct Buyer Specialist Location:Uniontown, OH Job ID: #70997 Pay Range: $32-40 Manage and leverage strategic partnerships of the supply base to meet the company's procurement requirements in terms of quality, delivery and cost. Assist new program sourcing strategies for water solutions and ice protection, while ensuring alignment with commodity strategies and low-cost sourcing plans for sustainable supply chain development. Responsible creating and implementing plans to ensure the new product sourcing strategy is in alignment with desired program outcomes. Essential Responsibilities: * Follows the client's best practice standard work for NPI processes. * Acts as liaison for engineering technology, material and component optimization, new product cost analysis, design readiness and manufacturing producibility. * Owns and is actively involved in sourcing strategy and vision with commodity management. * Manage procurement transactions. * Ensures development of hardware and FAI delivery timelines are met and that changes are made in a timely manner to support the project deliverables. * Supports supplier development activity. * Validates and refine cost reduction initiatives. * Coordinates with Procurement on negotiating pricing, contracts, and terms. * Performs other duties as assigned.
