Role Summary

We are looking for a proven leader to support our day-to-day operations across multiple Delivery and Service sites. You will own the strategic planning and execution of onsite operations including scheduling, hiring, training, promotions and coordinating with onsite managers to meet customer needs. You will drive optimization and efficiency through data, and process refinement with a focus on first principles to surface bottlenecks and inefficiency, seeking a resolution at a root cause. You will need to possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have a proven track record of leading teams through engagement with an emphasis of collaboration and measurable success. You will need the ability to build and affect culture through buy-in and persuasion. As a multi-site leader, you will be responsible for managing our locations to company objectives and priorities through strategic planning and tactical execution.


Responsibilities

  • Manage multi-site Delivery and Vehicle Operations teams and micro location centers in person and remotely
  • Set clear expectations through Key Performance metrics, budgets and other success measurements to drive success
  • Effectively plan by using reporting and forecasting to coordinate schedules and pivot resources as needed to meet customer demand
  • Identify, refine and develop team priorities; ensure the Delivery and Vehicle Operations team is tracking to achieve those priorities
  • Work with executive leadership to identify key opportunities and leverage resources to solve pain points, both short term and long term, with solutions that address issues at a root cause.
  • Implement scalable initiatives and best practices to ensure a world-class operation aross their Area of operations
  • Communicate projects and initiatives to Delivery and Vehicle Operations groups, external teams, and Executive leadership; motivate your team to excellence
  • Work with data analytics and Business partners to identify trends. Create clear strategic plans to address any gaps, and implement iterative tactical solutions to ensure mitigation of any potential blockers
  • Organize and prioritize their work and projects to maximize their impact on field targets and initiatives
  • Train, develop, and promote internal talent through effective and timely feedback as well as consistent performance reviews
  • Enforce high standards in process execution through effective planning, clear communication, and follow up through discussions, and on-site visits
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners to create guidelines, training, and supporting documentation and to support organizational goals and milestones
  • Plan and execute B2B support to meet SLAs and Operational needs of our partners
  • Work in parallel with Service field teams to support Service operations demand including service field initiatives, field actions, and service appointments
  • Support fleet and remarketing operations in logistics planning and execution. Ensure that key metrics are set and met on a regular basis

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of Operations Management experience and in high-volume businesses with large and diverse employee group across multiple markets; prior experience with EV and Auto Ecommerce valued
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree valued
  • Extensive Practice with lean principles(visual management, Kaizen,Kanban, Gemba) valued
  • Experience using software applications, including Microsoft Suite to create and manage spreadsheets, documents and presentations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays; ability and willingness to travel up to 75% based on business needs
  • Working knowledge with computers and software including Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to effectively navigate internal business platforms
  • Must have a valid driver's license in the state/province of residence that you will be driving/operating a vehicle (or state that you are commuting daily to/from)
  • No drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years; No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years; No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License within a 3-5 year period; Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring
  • Ability to obtain and maintain local sales licenses if applicable in your state/province
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on level of importance and urgency
  • Ability to work autonomously and consistently with limited direction
  • Willingness to work in various working conditions including being in an active service center or unpredictable weather conditions
  • Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting up to 2 or more hours at a time, standing for up to 8 or more hours a day, walking, bending, kneeling, laying, twisting, carrying, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs)
  • Frequent use of hands for purposes of grasping and using tools correctly, entering data, writing communications, or calling customers or internal partners
  • Strong understanding of written and spoken English
  • Ability to see, read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions or schematics

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Chicago, IL Based Applicants: $110,000.00 - $137,500.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Normal, IL Based Applicants: $105,000.00 - $131,300.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
