About the Role:

The Manager of Menu Strategy & Menu Innovation role specializes in developing and executing the testing of short and long-term menu strategies and product innovation that successfully meet evolving guest needs and drive Subway business objectives and brand affinity. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Marketing Strategy & Menu Innovation, an essential part of this role is to lead the cross functional teams to execute the testing for national calendar windows, as well as help support the buy-in of the strategy and insights for each innovation window. The role also assists with defining competitive market needs and opportunities and provides ongoing marketing support that ensures the competitiveness of existing products

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Collaborate with Vice President, Director and Sr. Manager to help drive the Subway US menu strategy, evolution, and validation.
  • Lead cross-functional team on the testing of potential future menu innovation.
  • Partner with the cross-functional team to help develop, gain alignment to, and oversee a guest and insight-driven innovation pipeline.
  • Analyze the ongoing financial performance of the current menu and recommend.
  • Opportunities to optimize and rationalize.
  • Work with Insights and Culinary on market and product research, monitor competitive activity and identify consumer needs.
  • Project Duties includes:



      • In partnership with the team, develop, gain alignment to, and oversee a guest-and insight-driven innovation pipeline.
      • Aid in cultivating an in-depth understanding of our target consumer
      • Coordination of brand product development and testing project timeline and calendar including concept screeners, qualitative focus groups, and operations / market tests.
      • Research & develop category analyses and insights that fuel innovative ideas and create differentiated product concepts and positioning. Set and execute short term strategy for the category and contribute to long term strategy.
      • Reviews & synthesize insights and data to deliver fresh, new thinking and recommendations on category development. Analyze the ongoing financial performance of the current menu and recommend opportunities to optimize and rationalize
      • Collaborate with Culinary, Consumer Insights, Analytics, Supply Chain, Operations, FSQA and Legal to turn new products into reality
      • Build compelling Business Cases and contribute to other business activities. Assist with sell-in to leadership and owner/operator partners






Qualifications:



  • Self-starter with demonstrated strategic thinking and leadership skills
  • Well organized, strong attention to detail, and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and remain positive/flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills as well as the proven ability to develop well-written documents, especially PowerPoint presentations, and eloquently present
  • Collaborative spirit with high emotional intelligence, and open to helping with any task
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Bachelors Business or Marketing preferred but not required
  • 2-6 Years of experience Marketing or related.
