Under the supervision of the Sr. Logistics Planner, this position is responsible for the effective planning and scheduling of Value Stream 1 at the Hilliard plant, meeting customer service metrics for fill rate and lead time. This includes managing raw material, gip, and inventories for Value Stream 1.

What will you do?

  • Completes all daily processing in SAP, including negative ATP and MD06 for VS1 SKUs.
  • Monitors and adjusts schedules, raw materials, and gip daily.
  • Accurately maintains planned production in master scheduling file and SAP.
  • Maintains appropriate gip inventory for VS1. Coordinates with VS2 planner for gip needed for VS2. Determines and implements disposition of excess VS1 gip items.
  • Prepares weekly production schedules for VS1, adhering to Safe-Right-Run principles, planning availability for customer shipments, and enabling efficiency in production.
  • Coordinates raw material inbound board procurement and inventories.
  • Communicates to Customer Focus Center regarding requests for improvements to shipping dates for VS1 products.
  • Partners with VS1 to maintain ongoing 2-way communication and support to understand customer needs, scheduling, production, and material issues and opportunities.
  • Partners with VS1 to implement improvements to production planning and scheduling processes.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Direct knowledge and demonstrated understanding of plant production processes
  • Proficiency using email and Microsoft Excel

About the Location (Hilliard OH)

Our Hilliard Plant, one of twelve Armstrong plants in North America, employs 100+ people across multiple shifts who are involved in the manufacturing and shipping of acoustical ceiling tile. The Hilliard plant prides itself in placing high priority on safety, quality and exceeding customer expectations.
