You will be responsible for administering all affairs between GDLS and major suppliers for various types of purchase orders and subcontracts.

- 9-80 Work Schedule (This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off).

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role:
- Solicitation/Preparation of Request for Proposals (RFP's) and Request for Quotes (RFQ's)
- Cost analysis of proposals
- Proposal fact finding
- Proposal negotiations, including cost, terms and conditions, payment terms, and scope of work
- Purchase order and subcontract preparation, placement, and continued administration/monitoring to assure compliance to requirements/scope of work
- Technical ability to interpret drawings and determine completeness of scope of work
- Formal purchase order and subcontract completions
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers such as payment discrepancies
- Serve as a Program Manager between supplier and GDLS functional departments and other General Dynamics divisions
- Preparation and negotiation of Intercompany Service Agreements (ISA's), non-disclosure agreements, terms and conditions, and master service agreements
- Coordinate "Source Selection" process
- Navigate execution of sole source subcontracts inclusive of creative negotiation strategies coupled with cost and/or price justification write-ups
- Ensure GDLS compliance with applicable procurement laws and regulations
- Expedite material to meet plant and engineering needs
- Work as a team member and assist/mentor colleagues as needed
- Develop new suppliers
- Comfortable in working with and presenting to senior leadership, both internal and external
- Other duties as assigned
- Travel estimated 10%
Qualifications Sought:
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain Management, other majors or areas of study will be considered with appropriate background and experience
- Ability to use the Oracle system (or equivalent) desirable
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and multi-tasking abilities
- High standard of business ethics and practices
- High capability to operate autonomously and problem solve complex matters
- Domestic travel and international travel possible
- This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens will not be eligible)
