Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect:
  • Provide technical support to SCM end users for Oracle E-Business, Teamcenter, APEX, COGNOS, PowerBI, Outlook and other applications used by the SCM organization
  • Diagnose and resolve software/business process issues, escalating to higher level management if necessary
  • Assist in the development, updating and maintenance of SCM content on websites and internal portals
  • Maintain documentation of support activities, solutions and end user guides and training documents
  • Conduct training sessions for end users with the software applications and/or business processes
  • Manage and support SCM network folder and file structures, ensuring proper user access and permissions.
  • Lead SCM IT development projects from initiation to completion meeting deadlines, scope, and budget.
  • Implementation and oversight of automation technologies (e.g. BOTS, AI) to streamline SCM and enterprise business processes.
  • Identify, lead, and implement SCM operational and global opportunities for process improvement and redesign.
  • Create and manage reports/metrics in Oracle, Cognos, OBIEE, PowerBI and other reporting frameworks.
  • Create, maintain and support business required data spreadsheets and/ or data repositories for data management, reporting, ad hoc and routine data requests, business process dash boards, etc. and process flow activities.


Positions Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Ten years of experience in SCM or Information Technology positions
  • Working knowledge of SCM related ERP/Oracle application and report/query development tools (e.g. PowerBI, COGNOS, ...)
  • Preferred knowledge of IT project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical and process issues.
  • Able to identify areas for process improvements and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with end users, team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and or collaboratively in a team environment
  • Customer service orientation to provide a positive support experience.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills including ability to present to all levels of management
  • Self starter with strong organizational, time management, planning and follow-through capabilities.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to travel as required
  • This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens will not be eligible)
  • Possess strong technical aptitude with applications and data management.
  • Must have effective ability to work with others, lead by example, manage up as well as across and among subordinate levels.
  • Possess a strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically and creatively (i.e. out-of-the box)
  • Ability to work standard business hours or weekends as required supporting special projects and or assignments.
  • Represent SCM and General Dynamics on various efforts requiring travel, supplier, customer, cross-functional, or other interaction.
