NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Manager, Corporate Events & Hospitality based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office.

The Senior Manager, Corporate Events & Hospitality is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development and execution of high-profile corporate events, premium hospitality programs, and partner experiences for NASCAR. This role provides strong team leadership and project management in delivering high-level event experiences for internal and external industry stakeholders.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Lead planning and on-site execution of major corporate events including race-weekend hospitality, partner summits, executive experiences and partner activations.
  • Oversee event logistics including venue selection, hotel management, contract negotiations, vendor management, guest management, F&B, transportation, credentialing, event producing and creative production.
  • Collaborate and serve as liaison with internal departments to align on event objectives with strategic priorities.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and external agencies in executing multi-day events and premium hospitality programs.
  • Develop and maintain budgets, timeline, production schedules, and post event recaps.
  • Assist with corporate event production management, including but not limited to run of show development, script management, contractor negotiations, talent management, coordination with production agency, signage and graphics, and live event production.
  • Maintain and utilize proficiency in guest management software to include creation of events and reports, database and guest list management and development of diagrams
  • Support development of scalable hospitality models for industry-wide deployment across tracks and series.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Travel: approximately 35 - 40% including weekend travel, short-notice travel and periodic heavy and/or multi-day travel periods

Supervisory duties:

  • Directly supervises assigned staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required skills / experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in the sports and/or corporate events industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Although not required, a reasonable level of exposure and understanding of the sports and/or NASCAR industry is a plus.
  • Proficient in company-provided software and hardware. Experience in various guest management applications a plus.
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation, or interest in pursuing, is a plus.
  • Creative & forward thinker.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Professionalism with internal & external executives and guests.
  • The capability to perform and retain composure under high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple events, set priorities, meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Passion for sports and events.
