Fortress Nutrition is actively hiring for a 3rd Shift Line Operator to work on our Beverage Canning Line. *The right candidate will be able to train on 2nd shift for 2-4 weeks and then move to the standard 3rd shift schedule.* Training Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:00pm-10:30pm, Monday-Friday); OT and weekends as needed Standard Schedule: 3^rdShift (10:00pm-6:30am, Monday-Friday); OT and weekends as needed Job Summary: Working as part of the Beverage Operations team, the Canning Line Operator is responsible for operating the high-speed canning/beverage production line equipment and creating, producing, and packaging products while collaborating within a team of peers. What You'll Do: Set-up, operate and maintain all packaging equipment, including filler, seamer, and packing equipment to ensure quality and efficiency of product output Troubleshoot issues as they arise on canning related machinery, including the filler, seaming and packing Document all canning line and repack QA checks to ensure statistical accuracy Notify maintenance of equipment and other mechanical issues and necessary repairs as they arise; report all issues to the Operations Manager immediately Perform physical inventory of packaging materials; report replenishment needs quickly to avoid production delays Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure equipment and product quality is maintained at all times Provide support as needed by working overtime to help operations and other shifts in staffing shortages Perform all duties with strict attention-to-detail to ensure product is packaged properly and efficiently, meeting all quality, food safety, and client specification standards Communicate all production related concerns and matters to the Production Supervisor as they arise for immediate attention Perform all other duties as assigned What We're Looking For: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required 1+ year of machine operating experience, preferably on high-speed packaging equipment, is required Previous experience working in the food/beverage industry, with an understanding of food safety & quality requirements, is strongly desired Knowledge and ability to understand, operate and troubleshoot high-speed production line equipment Must be able to proficiently read, write, and speak English Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays or Sundays as needed to fulfill production needs Frequently required to stand; walk; talk or hear; reach above shoulders; use hands to finger, handle, grasp, pinch or touch objects, controls, tools or equipment; kneel, crouch and use foot/feet to operate machinery; bend at the waist; climb or balance Frequently required to lift, carry, move, push or pull materials, product or equipment up to 50 pounds Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to ten (10) hours in a single shift * This position requires reliability & punctuality, strong sense of urgency, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team* What Your Compensation Package Will Look Like: $20.00 per hour (based on experience) + $2.00 Shift Premium Double Pay for Overtime >50 Hours Per Week - AND Any Weekend Work!
