Fortress Nutrition is actively hiring for a 3rd Shift Line Operator to work on our Beverage Canning Line.
The right candidate will be able to train on 2nd shift for 2-4 weeks and then move to the standard 3rd shift schedule.
Training Schedule:
2nd Shift (2:00pm-10:30pm, Monday-Friday); OT and weekends as needed
Standard Schedule:
3rd Shift (10:00pm-6:30am, Monday-Friday); OT and weekends as needed
Job Summary: Working as part of the Beverage Operations team, the Canning Line Operator is responsible for operating the high-speed canning/beverage production line equipment and creating, producing, and packaging products while collaborating within a team of peers.
What You'll Do:
- Set-up, operate and maintain all packaging equipment, including filler, seamer, and packing equipment to ensure quality and efficiency of product output
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise on canning related machinery, including the filler, seaming and packing
- Document all canning line and repack QA checks to ensure statistical accuracy
- Notify maintenance of equipment and other mechanical issues and necessary repairs as they arise; report all issues to the Operations Manager immediately
- Perform physical inventory of packaging materials; report replenishment needs quickly to avoid production delays
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure equipment and product quality is maintained at all times
- Provide support as needed by working overtime to help operations and other shifts in staffing shortages
- Perform all duties with strict attention-to-detail to ensure product is packaged properly and efficiently, meeting all quality, food safety, and client specification standards
- Communicate all production related concerns and matters to the Production Supervisor as they arise for immediate attention
- Perform all other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- 1+ year of machine operating experience, preferably on high-speed packaging equipment, is required
- Previous experience working in the food/beverage industry, with an understanding of food safety & quality requirements, is strongly desired
- Knowledge and ability to understand, operate and troubleshoot high-speed production line equipment
- Must be able to proficiently read, write, and speak English
- Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays or Sundays as needed to fulfill production needs
- Frequently required to stand; walk; talk or hear; reach above shoulders; use hands to finger, handle, grasp, pinch or touch objects, controls, tools or equipment; kneel, crouch and use foot/feet to operate machinery; bend at the waist; climb or balance
- Frequently required to lift, carry, move, push or pull materials, product or equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to ten (10) hours in a single shift

What Your Compensation Package Will Look Like:
- $20.00 per hour (based on experience) + $2.00 Shift Premium
