Job Description

You will manage the development of sales strategies and plans to exceed annual sales goals and grow market share. You will coordinate associated account strategies and execution with our channel partners and extended RA sales team. You will establish and maintain executive-level relationships at assigned accounts and growing customer spend with Rockwell Automation by defining value and aligning our capabilities to the customer's desired outcomes. This includes the justification of resource investment (people, pricing, equipment and partners) to achieve these outcomes.

This is a remote position based in Minnesota and will report to the Manager, OEM Sales.

Responsibilities - What you will do:


  • You will lead the account strategy within assigned accounts and communicate to extended teams on an account-by-account basis.
  • You will establish executive level relationships within the customer base and understand customer processes, goals and organizational model.
  • You will follow the Rockwell Automation sales process: knows assigned accounts, plans for growth, maintains a healthy funnel, drives opportunities to closure and evaluates performance to goal.
  • You will understand the industry (applications, standards/regulations, drivers and trends), the customer's organization and desired outcomes and Rockwell Automation offerings and delivery mechanisms and partner capabilities relevant to assigned accounts.
  • You will collaborate with the North America OEM Segment Leaders.
  • You will qualify customer opportunities, engage the appropriate resources and coordinate the solution design to improve the customer's decision process and presents solutions to the customer (value proposition).
  • You will analyze local market information and account dynamics to develop appropriate execution plans.
  • You will have OEM / Industry / Application knowledge
  • You will have a disciplined sales approach including CRM use and appropriate funnel management.


The Essentials - You Will Have:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.


The Preferred - You Might Also Have:


  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or other similar technical discipline. Additional business-related degree (MBA) / experience.
  • Typically requires 5+ years' experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, manufacturing operations, systems integration or an engineering firm, or graduate of the Rockwell Automation Sales Training Program:
  • Experience working with all levels of an industrial automation plant (customer) including VPs, plant engineers and OEM machine builders.

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor. This is a summary of the position's responsibilities and does not reflect the entire scope of work expectations. The total target compensation range for this role is $133,440.00- $200,160.00 of which 70% is base and 30% is variable. Our benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
