This job is critical to the operation of our Human Resources team, responsible for the precise management of employee records for faculty, staff, students, temporary, affiliate, and contractual employees. This role involves processing electronic personnel action forms (EPAFs), ensuring compliance with university policies and regulations, and serving as a key resource for timekeepers and campus stakeholders regarding employee records-related needs. This position also handles employment and wage verifications, provides training on records-related processes, and actively participates in projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and accuracy within the Employee Records unit.

Essential Functions |
What You'll Do:
- Conduct the review, research, input, and audit of employee records to ensure accuracy before processing electronic personnel action forms (EPAFs).
- Review electronic reports on a scheduled basis to identify and correct record discrepancies before payroll processing.
- Approve electronic personnel action forms for new hires, pay rate adjustments, supervisor and department changes, and terminations.
- Coordinate with the Onboarding Center to receive new hire documentation and to verify I-9 and tax compliance information. Investigate record discrepancies and maintains clear communication with all necessary parties.
- Serve as a point of contact for campus departments, fostering relationships and ensuring proper recordkeeping protocols. Communicate policy and procedural guidelines regarding employee records.
- Process wage and employment verification requests in accordance with university procedures and timelines.
- Assist with developing and updating training protocols, documentation, and materials as needed.

What We Need From You:
High school diploma or equivalent
AND 2 years of experience working in an office setting that includes data analysis, ability to research records and documentation review for accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment for high volume actions.
OR
Bachelor's degree with no experience required. |

Minimum Skills and Abilities |
Minimum qualifications include the ability to communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills and to provide timely and excellent customer service. In addition, the ability to organize a large array of documents while meeting strict deadlines. Furthermore, the ability to practice and ensure confidentiality of records is essential. |
