The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra - You dream it. We build it. Join our team as a Lead Quality Engineer.


Job Summary

The Lead Quality position is the key contact for business data analytics and providing support and guidance to functional areas related to quality. Demonstrates specialized depth and / or breadth of expertise in the uniform application of engineering cosmetic standards and guides and influences manufacturing organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Timely accumulation and dissemination of product cosmetic warranty information to the organization.
  • Regularly meets with functional area leadership as necessary to discuss quality trends, address and verify issues.
  • Establishes appropriate approach for utilization of data and obtaining the necessary supporting technology.
  • Leads in creation and communication of engineering cosmetic standards that recognize customer expectations and process capabilities.
  • Impacts the achievement of the corporate organizational strategy in support of the company-wide initiative to drive results in Parts and Accessories, Service, Material Management and supplier organizations to ensure appropriate infrastructure to support cosmetic quality systems, initiatives and objectives.
  • Leads processes to define customer expectations in a way that is translatable into objective cosmetic standards.

Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Education Specifications

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Supply Management, PE license or related technical Degree.

Experience Requirements

Required



  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively impact engineering or manufacturing environment related to product quality and cosmetic features.
  • Project Management .
  • Microsoft Office Products and/or statistical analysis software.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a group and / or team and provide guidance to other employees.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
