As a vital part of DAWSON's facilities maintenance team, you will ensure optimal steam and hot water operations across mission-critical systems. From classrooms and dormitories to high-use training centers, your role in operating and maintaining boilers safeguards system efficiency, safety, and environmental control-helping sustain the infrastructure that powers national security training.

Job Summary:

Join an elite mission at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Charleston, SC, and Joint Base Charleston, where your work behind the scenes ensures a clean, comfortable, and professional environment for federal trainees and personnel. As a Housekeeper supporting DAWSON's dorm services team, you'll help maintain the operational excellence of dormitories, administrative offices, and common-use areas-ensuring readiness for high-demand law enforcement training programs. Your attention to detail and service mindset will contribute directly to the health, well-being, and productivity of the campus community.

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Clean and service dormitory rooms, offices, and shared spaces including lobbies, corridors, lounges, and laundry rooms in accordance with FLETC cleaning protocols and CDC standards.

  
  
• 
  

  Make beds, change linens, and restock towels and amenities in dorm rooms during and between student occupancies.

  
  
• 
  

  Sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, remote controls, and bathroom fixtures.

  
  
• 
  

  Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust furnishings, and remove trash daily or as scheduled.

  
  
• 
  

  Report maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures, plumbing leaks) to supervisory staff.

  
  
• 
  

  Maintain proper care and use of cleaning supplies and equipment; secure chemicals according to safety protocols.

  
  
• 
  

  Support seasonal deep cleaning and emergency sanitation operations as directed.

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Minimum of 1 year experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or custodial services in commercial or institutional settings.

  
  
• 
  

  Ability to read and follow instructions on MSDS sheets, safety notices, and cleaning directives.

  
  
• 
  

  Must be physically able to lift up to 40 lbs., push housekeeping carts, and perform tasks that involve standing, bending, or kneeling for long periods.

  
  
• 
  

  Experience with green cleaning products and sustainable housekeeping practices preferred.

  
  
• 
  

  Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and guest comfort.

  
  

Additional Requirements:

  Must adhere to OSHA, EPA, and FLETC-specific safety protocols and use proper PPE at all times.

  
  
• 
  

  Participation in rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and emergency cleanups, may be required.
