Job Description
Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T), a proud NCAA Division II institution and member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), is accepting applications for a full-time assistant football coach with a focus on coaching inside and outside linebackers. This position reports to the head football coach. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the head football coach in the coordination and supervision of the football program, including planning practices, developing and implementing strategies and techniques, scouting opponents, and recruiting
- Leading, coaching, and supervising the inside and outside linebacker positions
- Effectively communicating with a variety of stakeholders, including prospective student-athletes, their families, coaches, support staff, campus departments, and university administration
- Actively recruiting student-athletes who align with the academic standards and mission of Missouri S&T, demonstrating a commitment to both athletic and academic excellence
- Contributing positively to a cohesive and enthusiastic coaching staff committed to building a nationally ranked NCAA Division II football program
- Ensuring all responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional, GLVC, and NCAA rules and regulations
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellence and demonstrate a strong commitment to student-athlete development, and support the university's values of integrity, innovation, and inclusion
- Experience at an NCAA Division II football program
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $30,000-$31,173 annually. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
