Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision and direction of the Billing Manager, the incumbent will apply their professional knowledge to perform a variety of analytical tasks on projects and related programs, including professional fee data. Incumbent will conduct data and system analysis, prepare reports and summarize findings, and design, develop, and maintain analytical reports for PBG clients and management. Incumbent will translate end-user questions into usable data; participate in administrative program project planning, development, and maintenance of in-house BI sub-systems; and document steps taken to test and validate steps raw data prepared by Information System. Incumbent will coordinate program planning and work collaboratively, assisting users with procedural and technical training for routine applications and programs. Incumbent will document all procedures utilized by programs and will assist in marinating technical documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, Report Writing Engines, MS Access, Excel, Monarch, and Word.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking, logical troubleshooting and analysis techniques for the purpose of problem resolution.
  • Ability to conceptualize new processes and to implement them.
  • Experience with the troubleshooting of software and hardware issues.
  • Skill to work independently with limited supervision and follow through on assignments with minimum direction and technical support.
  • Minimum three (3) years' related work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, work collaboratively, and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and projects, and complete assignments within the time required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • Experience with Professional Fee billing in an academic and multi-specialty setting.
  • Experience with SMS Signature Billing application and HCC.
  • Experience with data analysis in the healthcare field.
