Position Summary
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences ( CAES) Office of Information Technology ( OIT) and is a member of a team providing design, development, maintenance and support services for CAES and UGA Extension websites. This position is responsible for collaborating with website content managers and stakeholders to produce high quality website content for the organization's various web properties. Common activities include using the organization's web content management system to make updates, providing support for all website-related questions, assisting in updating or reorganizing key organizational websites, and providing initial consultation to clients regarding new website development projects.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Ability to update and manage web content effectively. An understanding of web development principles. Ability to assess and organize content structure and usability.
  • Familiarity with the use of web content management systems.
  • Understanding of digital accessibility standards and methods of achieving them.
  • Experience delivering technical support and training.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to listen effectively and clearly communicate technical issues both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to estimate work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to provide client support in a positive, proactive manner.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to client needs and departmental goals.
