Mascoma Bank is seeking a Business Analyst to join our subsidiary, Mascoma Technologies. The Business Analyst will play a central role in bridging the gap between client's business needs and our technical teams during implementation projects. This person will work directly with financial institution clients to gather and document requirements, define workflows, and ensure successful platform configuration that aligns with their operational goals.

The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with Solutions Engineers, Data Integration Specialists, Project Managers, and other cross-functional teams to deliver an implementation experience that is efficient, transparent, and scalable.

Essential Functions of Position

  • Partner with financial institution clients to understand and document business process, workflows, and technical requirements related to platform integration
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for development and integration teams
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and business process walkthroughs with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Maintain comprehensive, client specific documentation in Confluence and shred systems
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Solution Engineers to track requirement changes, manage scope, and resolve delivery questions.
  • Support UAT planning and validation with clients
  • Contribute to implementation playbooks, reusable templates, and process improvement efforts
  • Identify recurring themes across client needs and relay those insights to Product for roadmap consideration

Qualifications

  • 3+ years as a Business Analysts, preferably in fintech, SaaS, or software implementation environments
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, process mapping, and stakeholder communication
  • Familiarity with API-based integrations, data mapping, or Salesforce ecosystems is a plus
  • Experience working with financial services or banking clients is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, LucidChart, and Google Workspace
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with both business and technical teams
  • Detail oriented with clear, concise writing style and strong analytical skills

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift or transport up to 25 pounds
  • Varied work with a normal expenditure of energy and little or no unusual physical effort
  • May involve incidental business machine operations
  • Work involves intermittent periods of stationary positioning and traversing
  • Working conditions include well-lit and well-ventilated areas
  • Travel to other Mascoma Bank locations is required for training and meetings

This position can be performed remotely within our service areas.
