JOB TITLE: Environmental, Health and Safety Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulations. This role provides strategic leadership, drives continuous improvement through Lean methodologies, and fosters a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. The EHS Manager partners with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and mitigate EHS risks while aligning programs with business objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES



  • Develop and oversee the execution of EHS strategies, policies, and programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment
  • Provide leadership and directip to site leadership, associates, and cross-functional teams on EHS initiatives
  • Manage and ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, federals, and international environmental and occupational safety regulations
  • Lead site audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring corrective and preventitve actions are implemented
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging Lean methodologies and data-driven decision-making
  • Develop and maintain tracking systems for key EHS metrics, projects, and compliance activities
  • Collaborate with global and regional EHS teams to share best practices and ensure alignment on regulatory requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies, representing the organization during inspections, compliance reviews, and other regulatory interactions
  • Develop and manage EHS training programs to enhance safety awareness and regulatory compliance among associates
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to evaluate workplace hazards, recommend safety improvements, and influence equipment design for ergonomic and operational safety
  • Oversee vendor and contractor EHS compliance, conducting audits as needed
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, ensuring environmental goals align with corporate objectives
  • Partner with Health and Wellness team to manange workers' compensation programs, including case management, reporting, and return-to-work programs



OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Manage EHS-related budgets, including developing and justifying Corporate Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs)
  • Provide leadership and coaching to EHS team members and other key stakeholders
  • Ensure proper reporting and investigation of safety incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging EHS trends



MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Engineering or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

Experience

Minimum 10 years experience.

Skills



  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, industry best practices, and risk management principles
  • Proven leadership and team management skilsl with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data for informed decision-making
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing business priorities
  • Proficiency in EHS-related software and Microsoft Office Suite



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

General Labor Environment requirements include: use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, hand/finger dexterity, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, or transporting up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment.

Target Pay Range:$117,500.00to$146,900.00 -Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data

Target Bonus on Base:10.0%
