FP&A Lead - Bostik Job

Job Summary:

This role reports to the Corporate FP&A Finance Director and has no direct reports. This position works with all levels of the organization including Bostik BU finance, management and accounting. This position requires analyzing data and the reporting of results. This role also discovers issues and offers tangible solutions to be enacted. A proactive attitude is important in being successful in this role. This role also needs to find ways to be more efficient using tools that drive automation. This position leads the annual corporate budget process for Bostik Inc which includes holding recurring meetings, generating a timeline of deliverables, keeping the group on track and finding solutions for budgeting questions. Occasional travel as needed <10%.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting / Controlling activities (50%)

  • Responsible for monthly corporate flash reporting for Bostik Inc.
  • Be the main financial contact to Bostik corporate global
  • Review and analysis of cost centers for the HQ departments; G&A, R&D, Supply Chain
  • Review and analysis of corporate costs other than structural
  • Responsible for monthly corporate forecast
  • Top side financial analysis of Bostik Inc. results; variance analysis of Bostik results
  • Reporting to Executive team and other management on the monthly results

Functional Business Support (10%)

  • Oversees and manages the business process for functional business support.
  • Collaborates with business leaders to understand current gaps and expectations
  • Develops business process/communications expectations for organization
  • Coaches; mentors on expectations and overall business process
  • Consolidates and reports on monthly BU sales projections
  • Compiles and analyzes intercompany margins while working with global team
  • Work with global team to ensure billings to and from Bostik Inc. are timely and accurate

Manage annual budget preparation (25%)

  • Develops and leads the end-to-end corporate budgeting process for Bostik Inc.
  • Effectively engages, and communicates with key stakeholders to ensure successful adoption & execution
  • Obtains necessary insight from Arkema, Global BU controllers to ensure effective business process
  • Develops timelines and leads end to end budgeting process across all US sites including those external to SAP Best

Improve efficiencies by developing and implementing better Business/SAP processes (15%)

  • Work to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; implement appropriate changes.
  • Have a clear understanding of all SAP processes and their effect on the financials.
  • Utilize OneStream to develop new and dynamic reporting
  • Work with Power BI developer role to enhance automation wherever possible

Minimum Years of Experience:

* Minimum of 7-9 years of progressive Accounting/Finance experience with process manufacturing/product costing background

Education and area of focus:

* BS in Accounting or Finance

Certifications/Trainings:

* MBA/CPA Preferred

* Subject matter expert in knowledge of Technical Accounting rules, Organization and Processes. Able to identify and drive strategic level process improvements.

* Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements
* Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
* Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

* Hybrid schedule - minimum of 3 days in the office
* Requires work beyond normal hours to meet accounting deadlines or other project driven deadlines. This may include some holidays to ensure compliance with reporting deadline requirements
