Job OverviewThe Senior Director of Technical Procurement supports the VP of Critical Infrastructure Procurement by leading procurement teams dedicated to managing Network Procurement spend. This leader plays a critical role in building and nurturing relationships with senior-level business stakeholders to ensure internal cohesion around high-complexity category strategies that directly impact critical operations. This role is responsible for all network real estate procurement, which includes cell site leases, Mobile Switching Office (MSO) transactions, and venue and small cell agreements. The Senior Director understands the priorities of business stakeholders and enables their success by driving alignment of category strategies with business goals. They provide oversight for the development and execution of category strategies driven by the respective category teams and supported by various Procurement Operations teams. They are expected to build long-term strategies using a combination of deep experience and comprehensive market analysis, including industry forecasts and vendor earnings insights. Key responsibilities include: *Delivering against key financial and performance metrics associated with the Network Procurement spend managed by their team. *Ensuring cross-functional coordination across engineering, operations, finance, and legal to drive value creation and mitigate supply risk. *Leading tough, high-level negotiations with senior executives, often in complex and high-stakes environments. *Effectively relaying strategy and updates to C-suite executives within a Fortune 50 company with clarity, impact, and precision. *Coaching and developing a high-performing team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and stakeholder focus. *Developing future leaders within the organization by aligning them with strategic expectations and supporting their career development and training. *Monitoring industry trends and supplier markets to anticipate risks and leverage opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement. *Supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management for network-related goods and services. Travel: The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
