Position Summary: Countertops Fabricators build countertops from cut list through completion; capable of building and buffing countertops with a drop or stacked edge and countertops with a profiled edge detail. This includes all back splashes and end splashes, grommet cut-outs, grommet build ups, polished cut outs, sink cut-outs, integral sinks, biscuit slots at knock down joints, thermoforming, repair work and packing up miscellaneous hardware for installation and delivery.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Builds countertops from cut list through completion.
  • Buffs countertops, including drop or stacked edges, grommet cut-outs, grommet build ups, polished cut outs, and sink cut outs.
  • Accurately label all parts that make up a countertop with all pertinent information relating to the countertop that is being worked on.
  • Maintain work area, organized and orderly, ensuring compliance with the company's safety and health regulations.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Previous knowledge and/or experience in building countertops and/or Millwork/Casework with the ability to build complicated countertops with radiuses, drop edges and multi-level tops.
  • Ability to read and understand shop drawings, lay-up lists, cut-lists and accurately read a tape measure, required.
  • Knowledgeable on how to properly handle and build solid surface; possess the ability to identify colors.
  • Be skilled in using a file, chisel, sanding block, pneumatic sander, router, belt sander, drill, table saw, chop saw and vertical panel saw (required tool list will be provided).
  • Possess tools and/or has the ability to obtain tools as indicated on the tool list (see provided list)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline orientated environment.

Job Details

  • Salary: $16to $22an hour, commensurate upon experience.
  • Job Type: Full Time. Shift, Mon- Fri, 6:00am - 2:30pm.(with overtime as needed).

  • Physical demands:
    • Lifting - Employee may be required to lift weights up to 50 pounds. In the event a load weighs more than 50 pounds, team members are required to seek assistance from another team member before lifting and use proper lifting techniques;
    • Push/Pulling - Push material of various sizes and weights;
    • Stand/Walking - Must be able to stand approximately 100% of the work shift at a designated workstation;
    • Reaching - reach up to heights of 60 inches to position and retrieve needed materials;
  • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving machinery in a temperature-controlled environment and includes exposure to contaminants (mainly dust). Noise level: moderate to high (appropriate PPE is provided to all employees).
