Job Coach

REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education

POSITION OBJECTIVE: To provide individualized support, guidance, and skill-building for students with disabilities in preparing for employment and workplace success, fostering independence, confidence, and positive social and vocational outcomes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in special education, vocational training, or related field preferred.
2. Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to fostering student independence and success.
3. Experience working effectively in a team-based, diverse environment

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Student Support & Skill Development

? Assist students with disabilities in developing workplace readiness skills, including communication, time management, and task completion.

? Provide one-on-one or small group coaching during classroom, on-campus, and off-site work experiences.

? Support students in setting personal and vocational goals and monitoring their progress.

Workplace & Community Engagement

? Coordinate with teachers, employers, and vocational program staff to facilitate meaningful work experiences.

? Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback to students, staff, and families.

? Assist with job site preparation, transportation, and accommodations as needed.

Maintain accurate records of student participation, progress, and achievements.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Part-time position with a flexible schedule as determined by district needs. Work hours may vary and may include early mornings, after school hours, or occasional weekends.

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position involves on-campus and off-campus activities, including travel to local job sites. It requires frequent interaction with students, staff, and community partners, as well as standing, walking, and assisting students as needed. Flexible hours may be required to support student schedules and work experiences.

HOURLY RATE: $25.25 per hour
