Purpose of Job: The role is designed to support the strategic alignment and planning within Optum Financial's Office of the CEO, ensuring that business operations are effectively aligned with the company's mission and goals. This involves aiding in the development and execution of strategic priorities, overseeing cross-functional initiatives, and contributing to special projects aimed at boosting productivity, scalability, and growth.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Support the Chief of Staff to CEO in Optum Financial to develop and track execution of strategic priorities.
  • Assist in execution of quarterly and annual planning processes, including OKRs, performance targets, and budget alignment.
  • Help coordinate within the Office of the CEO cross-functional initiatives and serve as a liaison between departments (e.g., Finance, Communications, People, Business Lines, others).
  • Create and coordinate content in support of recurring operational cadence: executive leadership meetings, pipeline reviews, MBRs/QBRs, town halls, and business reviews.
  • Contribute to special projects and programs to improve productivity, scalability, and growth of Optum Financial.
  • Support Chief of Staff as a communication hub for the leadership team, cascading messages, priorities, and updates throughout the organization.
  • Assist with executive communications, board presentations, and internal communications.
  • Promote a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative culture across the team.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board for team leads and managers

Required Qualifications:



  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic planning, business operations, or related fields
  • Deep understanding of financial and business models, market trends, and consumer behavior
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Proven excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications
  • Experience in a leadership role within a corporate strategy or consulting environment
  • Experience in financial services, employer benefits, banking and healthcare markets
  • Expertise in data analysis tools, strategic frameworks, and performance measurement techniques

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
